The sectors studied in the Gers within the framework of GeoTraceAgri are:
The specificity of these sectors lies in the fact that producers and
groups of producers with which we work are opened to the idea of integrated
farming. The implemented conditions of contract were defined by agricultural
cooperatives based on the general principles of integrated farming:
The developed indicators will handle mainly problems connected to the integrated farming. Current preoccupations expressed by "Terre de Gascogne" concern mainly:
Besides, the Gers Department is also strongly concerned by the problem of water pollution by nitrates, a large part of its territory being classified in vulnerable zone. We shall also approach thus this problem within the framework of indicators development.
