The Nitrates Directive

The Nitrates Directive is a community text (1991) which aims at reducing the direct and indirect pollution of waters by nitrates of agricultural origin.

The national application of this directive includes several aspects :

The first program took place from 1995 to 1999, it is relieved by a second program main lines of which are fixed by the rule of January 10th, 2001.
